On the authority of ‘Abdullah Ibn ‘Amr (RA):
He said: The Prophet (peace be upon him) stayed behind us on a journey, then he reached us. Then we were late to start Asr prayer. So we were performing ablution and (due to haste) washing our feet lightly. Then he said in a loud voice: ‘There is the punishment of hell for the ankles.’ Two or three times he repeated this.
